Overview

Spender ("we", "our", "us") is a personal finance app designed with privacy as a core principle. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights as a user. By using Spender you agree to this policy.

Data We Collect

• Financial data you enter, including transactions, balances, and categories — stored locally on your device using Apple SwiftData. We have no access to this data.
• Optional display name — if you sign in with Apple and grant permission, we receive only your first name for display purposes. Your Apple ID email is never received or stored by us.
• Onboarding estimates, including monthly income, expenses, and savings — stored locally on your device only, never transmitted.
• Feedback messages — when you use the Contact Us form, your message is sent via your device’s Mail app directly to our support email. We receive only the content you write and your return email address.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports.
• No advertising networks or marketing SDKs.
• No device identifiers, IDFA, IP addresses, or location data.
• No user accounts or servers that store your financial data.
• No behavioral tracking of any kind.

Third-Party Services

• Apple iCloud / CloudKit — optional sync across your devices when signed in with Apple. Governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy: apple.com/privacy.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit — processes all subscription payments. We never receive or store your payment details.
• Open Exchange Rates — used to fetch currency exchange rates via open.er-api.com. No personal information is transmitted.
